Thank you for being a part of the Navy Special Operations Foundation Community. While it was a difficult decision, we have decided to make the following changes to our major annual events because we care about your safety and wellbeing:
East Coast NSOF Annual Benefit Gala at The Norfolk Hilton Main
Originally scheduled for June 6th, 2020 will be postponed to June 12th, 2021. Those who have already purchased tickets can choose to forward their purchase to next year's event, request a refund, or donate their ticket (detailed below).
West Coast Navy Special Operations Memorial 5k in San Diego
Originally scheduled for May 23rd, 2020, this event will be converted to a virtual race which will be open from 05/22/20 - 05/31/20. All participants will still receive their swag bag including their T-shirt and race medal.
Although we won't be gathering in person, NSOF is offering several ways you can still take part and join in on the fun from wherever you are!
Ways You Can Continue to Support NSOF
#1. Let Us Know If You'd Like to Donate Your Ticket
While the NSOF Benefit Gala was postponed to next year, you can choose to donate the cost of your ticket to benefit the Navy Special Operations Community or let us know if you'd like us to provide you with a refund. An email will be going out to registrants later this week regarding these options.
#2. Participate In Our NSO Memorial Virtual 5k Series
Starting May 22nd through May 31st, we will open our 5k to virtual run submissions. All participants will receive a swag bag complete with a premium race T-shirt and awesome race medal!
Make sure to submit your race time and send us your pics! We will be running several contests & giveaways throughout this time. If you haven't already, join our @Virtual NSO Memorial Day 5k Facebook page to stay up to date on the latest!
#3. Check Out Our Quarantine Activities on Facebook & Instagram
Since we cannot gather in person, we thought we'd bring the programs to you! Special guests, such as the one and only Don Stewart of DS Art, will be doing an exclusive tutorial video for NSOF. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for dates and times as you won't want to miss this!
#4. Help Us Raise Money for Navy Special Operations Foundation
Although we've had to make some changes to our 5k and Gala, we're continuing to pursue our goal of raising funds through individual fundraisers and our Athlete Ambassador program. We'd love it if you could join us by creating your own fundraising page and sharing it with family and friends. Every little bit helps!
#5. West Coast NSOF Annual Benefit Gala in San Diego
Our first annual West Coast NSOF Benefit Gala will remain at the Hilton Bayfront, San Diego on Saturday, October 17th! This event is held to celebrate the laurels of the men and women who comprise the Navy Special Operations community. With live entertainment, a gourmet 3 course meal, silent auction and an incredible atmosphere you will not soon forget! Tickets are limited, so make sure to get yours before they sell out!
We believe that with your help, we can lessen the impact of coronavirus on our mission of keeping our Navy Special Operations service-members and their families in the fight!
