NSOF & Chill Quarantine Kits

Suzanna FisherMar 20, 2020

Navy Special Operations Foundation, a charity that supports the Navy EOD and Diver Community, passed out Quarantine Kits on Wednesday to Navy Special Operations (NSO) service-members whose families have been impacted by the recent school closings and quarantines.

"As of Thursday, 125 NSO families in Hampton Roads were provided with kits containing Itunes gift cards, popcorn, and candy to try softening the blow of school closures as well as promoting quality family time" said executive director Suzanna Fisher.

Many of these NSO families have a service-member either currently deployed, or currently quarantined as a precaution due to overseas training and travel.

"In times of uncertainty like these, I believe it's important to spread some positivity. Even if it's in the form of a small kit, we want to make sure our NSO community knows that people do care, and that we are here for them!"

NSOF will be sending out a shipment of kits to San Diego later this week, and is hoping to put together hundreds more to mail to other impacted commands across the country and overseas.

Navy Special Operations Foundation is the sole organization exclusively supporting the Navy EOD and Divers which make up the NSO Community. NSOF is a nonprofit organization 501(c)3, Tax ID #82-3607020, founded in the state of Virginia ensuring all NSO personnel and their families are provided with the tools necessary to overcome any challenges they may face.
